- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon chai spice mix
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave syrup
- 1 cup plant-based milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a bowl or blender, combine the flour, baking powder, chai spice mix, and a pinch of salt. Whisk or blend until evenly mixed.
- In a separate bowl, mix the plant-based milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. If needed, add cooking spray or melt a bit of vegan butter to prevent sticking.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2–3 minutes.
- Carefully flip the pancake and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Make sure your plant-based milk is at room temperature for a smooth batter. A tablespoon of melted coconut oil can be added for extra richness.
