Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup vegan butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup plant-based milk
- Pink food coloring (optional)
- Vegan buttercream frosting for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream the vegan butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar in a separate mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and plant-based milk.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool completely before frosting.
- If desired, tint some frosting with pink food coloring and spread it on top.
- Cut into bars and serve.
Notes
These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or a week in the fridge.
