- 1–2 sheets of puff pastry (vegan and gluten-free)
- 130g of dairy-free cream cheese
- 15g of gluten-free/plain flour
- 15g of caster sugar + extra for sprinkling
- 4 tablespoons of dairy-free milk
- Fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 10cm x 10cm squares.
- In a mixing bowl, blend dairy-free cream cheese, gluten-free flour, caster sugar, and dairy-free milk until smooth.
- Dollop a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square and top with sliced strawberries.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to create a pouch. Brush the tops with dairy-free milk.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, sprinkle with extra sugar, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These danishes are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days.
