A comforting dairy-free latte made with turmeric, ginger, and aromatic spices, perfect for cozy evenings or refreshing mornings.
Ingredients

- 2 cups (480 mL) oat milk or soy milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground turmeric (or 1 1/2 tablespoons freshly grated turmeric)
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger (or 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or 1 large cinnamon stick)
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom (or 2–3 crushed cardamom pods, optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoon unrefined virgin coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Warm the oat or soy milk in a small saucepan over low heat, being careful not to boil.
- Add the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and black pepper, whisking until well blended.
- Simmer gently for 5–10 minutes, whisking occasionally.
- Optionally, warm the milk in the microwave for 1-2 minutes and whisk in the ingredients.
- Remove from heat and strain, if using whole spices.
- Stir in the coconut oil until melted and optionally sweeten with maple syrup.
- Froth the latte for a creamy texture.
Notes
Use room temperature milk for better frothing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
