Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles or decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix in applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Let the cake cool completely.
  6. Crumble the cooled cake into a bowl and mix in melted chocolate chips.
  7. Form small balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Freeze for about 30 minutes.
  9. Melt additional chocolate for coating.
  10. Dip each cake pop in melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  11. Add decorations if desired and let set until chocolate hardens.
