Description

A guilt-free twist on the classic apple crumble, made entirely vegan with wholesome ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil or vegan butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, combine rolled oats, almond flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, salt, and nutmeg. Mix until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples, pressing down lightly.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with vegan ice cream or custard.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
