- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup almond paste or frangipane filling
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, all-purpose flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Spread the almond paste evenly over the dough layer.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the almond paste.
- Sprinkle the sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool in the dish for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cut into bars and serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage. You can also substitute almond paste with nut butter or chocolate hazelnut spread.
