Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 Sweet Onions (such as Vidalia, Maui, Walla Walla, or Texas Sweet)
- 4 tbsp butter (sliced into 8 pats)
- ½ tsp coarse salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup freshly shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup freshly shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Slice the onions into ¼-inch thick rounds, then separate the rings and spread them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Combine the seasonings in a small bowl and sprinkle over the onions evenly.
- Distribute the pats of butter across the seasoned onions.
- Sprinkle the cheeses over the onions in the order: mozzarella, cheddar, and then Parmesan.
