Ingredients

Scale
  • 100 grams (1/2 cup) spelt berries
  • 1 litre (4 cups) filtered water
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Soak the spelt berries in a bowl, covering them with water for at least 12 hours, up to 24 hours.
  2. Drain and rinse the soaked spelt under cool water.
  3. Blend the soaked spelt with 1 litre of filtered water and a pinch of sea salt until smooth.
  4. Strain the blended mixture using a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag.
  5. Store the Spelt Milk in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  6. Use the leftover spelt pulp in other recipes to avoid waste.

Notes

For a creamier texture, blend longer and ensure the milk is stored in an airtight container.
