A fall-apart tender slow cooker pork loin paired with a sweet and savory sauce, perfect for family dinners and meal prep.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 lb pork loin, cut in half as needed
- 3 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder (optional)
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 tsp minced garlic (4 large cloves)
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic in a bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
- Pat the pork loin dry and season all sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork (optional).
- Place sliced onions at the bottom of the slow cooker, then the pork. Pour the sauce over it.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the pork is fork-tender.
- Remove the pork, let it rest, then shred or slice and serve with sauce.
Notes
For a flavor kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce. Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 4 days.
