Ingredients

- 2 small heads of broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 2 large cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp water
- Additional sesame seeds and red pepper flakes for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add broccoli florets and blanch for 3 to 5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
- Cool broccoli under cold water to stop cooking.
- In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-low heat, then add garlic and cook until golden and fragrant (4-5 minutes).
- Stir in sesame seeds and sesame oil until seeds turn golden.
- Add soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and water, mixing well. Remove from heat.
- Combine the garlic-sesame mixture with the broccoli and serve warm, garnished with additional sesame seeds and red pepper flakes.
Notes
This dish is versatile; feel free to add lemon juice or chili flakes for extra flavor. It can be made ahead by blanching broccoli in advance.
