Description

Delightful and festive Meringue Christmas Trees that bring a touch of magic to your holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large egg whites, room temperature
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • Green gel food coloring
  • Sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar, ensuring it incorporates fully before adding more (about 6-8 minutes total), until stiff peaks form.
  4. Add green gel food coloring and mix on low speed until evenly colored.
  5. Transfer meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe three dollops on top of each other to form trees, decorating with sprinkles.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the sides are dry and they lift easily from the parchment.
  7. Turn off the oven and let meringues cool inside for at least one hour.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

Use organic eggs for best flavor. Keep meringues in a moisture-free environment to maintain crispiness.
