Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 2–4 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1–2 tablespoons culinary lavender, finely ground
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Beat the softened butter on medium speed until pale and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until incorporated.
- Add 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, ground lavender, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix on low speed.
- Increase speed to high and whip for 2-3 minutes until light and airy.
- If too stiff, add more cream; if too loose, add more powdered sugar.
- Taste and adjust the lavender flavor as needed.
- Use immediately to frost cakes or store in an airtight container.
Notes
Use fresh butter for best flavor; the frosting can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
