  • 1 head Boston or bibb lettuce, leaves separated

  • ¼ cup grated Asian pear, peeled
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper in a bag. Add beef slices, coat well, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  2. Cook the Rice: Rinse rice until the water runs clear and cook according to package instructions.
