Ingredients

- 1 pound sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- Cooking oil (avocado or sesame oil)
- 1 cup long grain white rice, cooked
- 1 head Boston or bibb lettuce, leaves separated
- Kimchi for topping
- Sesame seeds for topping
- Sliced scallions for topping
- ¼ cup grated Asian pear, peeled
- ¼ cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper in a bag. Add beef slices, coat well, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- Cook the Rice: Rinse rice until the water runs clear and cook according to package instructions.
- Grill the Meat: Heat a griddle pan over medium-high heat, sear marinated steak for 1-2 minutes per side.
- Assemble: On each lettuce leaf, add rice, grilled beef, kimchi, scallions, and sesame seeds. Serve family-style for custom wraps.
