Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup organic cane sugar or granulated sugar
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup lilac blossoms
  • 1 glass jar

Instructions

  1. Shake your lilacs gently to remove any small bugs.
  2. Delicately remove the lilac blossoms from the stems.
  3. Fill the bottom of your jar with 1/4 cup of sugar and add lilac blossoms.
  4. Continue layering sugar and blossoms until the jar is filled.
  5. Seal the jar tightly and shake gently to disperse the blossoms.
  6. Store in a cool, dark place for at least 2 days, shaking daily.
  7. Spread the sugar on parchment paper to dry for 1 hour.
  8. Return to jar and shake again.
  9. After 2 days to a week, sift out the flowers for a fine finish.

Notes
