A decadent twist on classic brownies with a blend of fudgy chocolate goodness and fluffy marshmallows, reminiscent of a steaming cup of hot chocolate.

- 100 g semi-sweet or dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 60 g natural cocoa powder
- 150 g unsalted butter, roughly cubed
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 200 g granulated sugar
- 50 g brown sugar
- 80 g all-purpose flour
- 30 g mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine chopped chocolate and cocoa powder; set aside.
- Over medium heat, melt the cubed butter and brown it until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour the browned butter into the chocolate mixture and stir until smooth.
- In a large bowl, add eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar; beat on medium-high speed for about 5 minutes until pale and fluffy.
- Gradually mix in the melted chocolate mixture.
- Add flour and fold until just combined.
- Transfer batter to the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 23-25 minutes until edges are set; the center may jiggle.
- Top with mini marshmallows and bake for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
Store brownies at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. For a vegan version, substitute eggs and use dairy-free alternatives.
