Description

A creamy, tangy yogurt-based dip that blends fresh ingredients for a refreshing treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 medium English cucumber, grated
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Kosher salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Partially peel the cucumber and grate it finely.
  2. Sprinkle the grated cucumber with salt and set aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Squeeze out excess moisture from the cucumber using cheesecloth or a paper towel.
  4. In a bowl, combine cucumber, Greek yogurt, minced garlic, dill, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Adjust flavors as desired and garnish with olive oil and dill.
  6. Serve immediately or chill for 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Tzatziki tastes even better the next day as the flavors meld.
