Ingredients

  • 1 cup pure pumpkin puree (unsweetened, no spices)
  • 2 cups oat flour (or finely blended oats)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine pumpkin puree, applesauce, and peanut butter until smooth.
  3. Gradually stir in oat flour and cinnamon (if using) until a thick, slightly sticky dough forms. Adjust with more flour if too sticky.
  4. Roll portions of dough (about a tablespoon) into sticks, 4 to 5 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Place sticks on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  6. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving to your pup.
