Delicious and crunchy potato balls cooked in an air fryer for a guilt-free indulgence. Perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients

- 500 g (4 medium) starchy potatoes (Russets recommended)
- 50 g (1/3 cup) cornstarch or potato starch
- 1 Tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 Tbsp oil (olive oil or avocado oil)
- Vegan Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes into 3cm (1-inch) chunks.
- Cook the potatoes in a large pot of salted water until fork-tender, approximately 10-15 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth.
- Mix in the starch and spices until a soft dough forms.
- Divide the mixture into 3-4cm (1-1.5 inch) balls.
- Toss gently with oil and arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry the potato balls for 13-16 minutes at 380°F (190°C), until golden brown and crispy, shaking halfway through.
- Transfer to a bowl, sprinkle with vegan Parmesan cheese, and serve.
Notes
Keep an eye on the potato balls toward the end of cooking; they can overcook quickly. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
