  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the mixed berries and chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a chewier texture, refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
